Ayesha 2 1/2" Gauge Live Steam Locomotive Drawings
This is quite a special little engine. Designed by LBSC, long time contributor to the Model Engineer magazine, and probabily the most prominant live steam small locomotive engineer there has been. The photo below is from LBSCs book "The Live Steam Book" showing his own engine - this was really the engine that started the 'modern' interest in model engineering. Look this book up for a history of the engine and the origins of the name 'Ayesha' - very interesting in itself!
In quite a fitting way, this set of drawings also started my personal interest in engineering, having been passed on to me by my grandfather who purchased the drawings sometime in the late 1930's I believe. There are nine sheets of blueprints which I have carefully reproduced. All components are fully detailed to build the locomotive and tender - and the drawings are really nice to look at, giving a glimse back into the early days of the hobby.

CASE Type 3/4" Scale Live Steam Traction Engine Plans
A full set of live steam model traction engine plans and drawings, with the added benefit of full build instructions.
This engine is based on the full size steam traction engines built by J.I. Case Co. - although it is not an exact scale replica. For American steam engine fans this is a great model build project - it is an American style engine and all plans and drawings are in inch units. In addition to the fully detailed 16 sheets of plans and drawings, there are 14 typed sheets of build instructions describing all operations - machining, soldering, assembly, etc.
